About

The Castle Inn is a 12th century pub set in the heart of Castle Combe village. Offering local beverages and a modern take on traditional pub food, we have relaxed dining, an outdoor terrace, private dining spaces and 12 unique bedrooms.

Great care has been taken in an extensive and considerate restoration to preserve yet enhance the charm of this beautiful historic building. Whilst sympathetic to the ancient structure, the refurbishment has included the installation of many contemporary facilities ensuring guests can enjoy the utmost comfort, care and attention. Pop in for a quiet pint, sit back and enjoy a comforting home cooked meal or settle in for the night with a delicious dinner followed by a great night’s sleep in one of our welcoming bedrooms and a hearty breakfast to set you up for the day ahead. Serving a menu of homemade comforting meals, lighter bites and cakes daily, you can find a comfy spot in the bar, the snug or outside in the courtyard on sunny days.

Food

Awarded 2 AA Rosettes and a Top 50 Gastropub on the UK, you know you're onto a good thing when you walk through The Castle Inn's doors.

Head Chef Jamie Barnett, is all about cooking simply, using the very best seasonal ingredients, to give you traditional gastro dishes and hearty-fare filled which changes with the seasons. Our menus and dishes change regularly to ensure only the freshest and highest quality ingredients are used from local and national suppliers.

The bar is the hub with an open fire, warm atmosphere and specialises in a range of local beers. And when the sun is shining, why not enjoy a table out the front or on the terrace patio for some alfresco drinks and dining.

Friendly dogs are welcome in the bar and on the terrace.
