1012 reviewsFamily run 3* Cotswold Hotel with fine dining rosette , local chefs, local suppliers and great local charm – 16th century conversion of a Vetinerary apothecaries all 22 rooms are en suite and different and majority are dog friendly – large doubles over look the Walled Garden and Courtyard Rooms offer Accessibility with Cotswold Stone wet-room bathrooms and we have 4 Family rooms too.
We offer a true Taste of the Cotswolds in a Friendly environment – award winning Breakfasts, light Lunch , Afternoon teas and locally sourced Seasonal Bistro Dining ... drinks in the walled croquet garden or snuggle down in the Snug bar.
Our locations great , lovely Cotswold village with Fosse Way running past and stream thru middle , 2 good pubs , the fabled family friendly Cotswold Water Park on the door step with numerous great lakes and the Head of the Thames + Pathway - for the nature lovers, we are 5 miles from the fabled Westonbirt Arboretum with its sky-walk and world’s largest collection of rare trees , a spectacular all times of the year ( booking advised) – you’re in mid triangle between ancient Malmesbury, Royal Tetbury and the capital of the Cotswolds, Cirencester !!
Short drive sees you in Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-Wold and the Slaughters or maybe a day out at the wondrous Cotswold Wildlife Park @ Burford where Dogs can come too !

You'll ALL enjoy the fabled Cotswold Lakes, miles & miles of well tended walking paths though a Thameside setting of 150 Great Lakes spanning 22 km , with over-wintering birds and England’s finest wildlife from Shrews & Stoats to Deer, Badger and Fox - little noses will love it .and the Intrepid Cyclist too ... plus in every Pub you can find a warm log fire welcome & are fab for a rest & lunch! BETTER STILL, we will give you a free map of the Water Park to save you the watching a phone all day!
Cotswold Winter Market Towns abound, with Cirencester, Bath and Moreton-on-Marsh our local favourites - visits to Daylesford, Clarkson’s Enterprises and celebrity farms are all options for a less energetic day out .. . or Retail therapy @ McArthur Glen Outlet @ Swindon ( top up on pressies !!)
Dogs stay for Free and treated to a morning sausage every day with your Full Cotswold Breakfasts included
We’ve a Dog Cleaning area for those more mucky inclined before they join you in the Bar or Snug for an evening pint!.
We offer free, secure overnight BIKE storage and a room to dry coats etc.

Friendly relaxed Bar & Bistro, extensive breakfast menu, Children’s menus and highchairs available. Light lunches and Bistro dining, both inside and on the Garden terrace – Afternoon and Cotswold Cream teas a speciality in the Walled Gardens, with a game of croquet ?
Very Dog friendly with plenty Dog Friendly rooms - pooches may join you @ all meals, in the Bar and @ the Gardens – great walks locally and a water meadow opposite for local socialising.
Whilst a 16th century building in parts we do offer accessible facilities with 2 Accessible level 1 & 2 rooms, 5 ground floor rooms , flat access to reception and mobile ramps , reserved parking at both entrances and assistance always on hand.
3 large, safe, off road and free car parks
Local maps and guides available from our website and for copies from reception.
We can accommodate most “requests” for local days out ideas, walking, fishing, golfing, shopping , Water ski, Water Park inflatables all a possibility- - National Trust sites everywhere.
