Serving its Royal neighbours’ favourite tipples, there’s a bright dining area overlooking the castle, specialising in freshly-made traditional British dishes, and innovative twists on Mediterranean cuisine.
The Royal Windsor has served Royals and residents alike for many years and boasts one of the biggest beer gardens in the historic town.
Specialising in handmade liquor and premium craft beers, including a house-brewed Royal Windsor Pint, this open and relaxed bar and kitchen serves the finest food in Windsor in an unrivalled environment.
Drinkers can enjoy exotic cocktails - created using house-infused spirits - in the vibrant and lively bar, and diners can relax in the adjoining restaurant. There is a function room available to hire for weddings and celebrations, and the impressive outside area boasts a bar of its own which is open throughout the summer.
The venue hosts a weekly quiz night every Wednesday, live music performances on Fridays, and a DJ plays into the early hours every Saturday night.
From long lunches and lazy brunches to romantic meals and business deals, The Royal Windsor is a venue for all occasions.
When is the Royal Windsor open?
The Royal Windsor is open for coffee or drinks from 11am until late, 7 days a week, and food is served from 10am at until 10pm at weekends and from midday Monday to Friday.
What's on the menu at the Royal Windsor?
Freshly cooked traditional British dishes and a selection of innovative takes on Royal favourites.
Try the Royal Windsor Burger served with homemade ‘slaw and fries, or the incredible seafood linguine. A selection of freshly-cooked flatbreads are available all day as well as a tempting menu of bar snacks including macaroni cheese balls and lightly battered whitebait. Delicious vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free dishes are all available too. Desserts include homemade Tiramisu, an incredible Eton Mess and homemade peanut butter chocolate brownies.
As part of a collaboration with Thames Hospice, 50p from the sale of every portion of Fish & Chips and Barbecue Chicken Wings goes directly to the local charity.
Drinks at the Royal Windsor
The pièce de résistance at The Royal Windsor is the incredible cocktail menu. From classics such as Cosmopolitans and Mojitos to unique creations including the Royal Windsor Bellini and the Passionfruitini, there’s also a 2-4-1 cocktail Happy Hour daily from 4-7pm Sunday to Thursday and 8-midnight Friday and Saturday.
The Royal Windsor is a dog-friendly pub so friendly four-legged friends on a lead can enjoy a bowl of water on the house in the public bar or beer garden.
The Royal Windsor is super family friendly and offers a variety of Kids’ Meals as well as half portions of dishes found on the main menu as well as free ice cream for all young diners. Highchairs are available and baby changing facilities can be found in the disabled toilet.

Come down to the Royal Windsor for Quiz Night, every Wednesday at 8pm. Entry is £2 per person and you can win up to £250!
Private Parties and Corporate Events
If you’re looking for a venue for weddings, private parties, dinners or receptions then The Royal Windsor is the perfect venue. Catering for parties of anything from 4 to 400 people, there’s an in-house AV system and anything can be supplied from chocolate fountains to photo booths and ice sculptures.
A dedicated Events Manager can help you plan your event and you can even add your own additional touches such as bespoke menus, specially-created cocktails, decorations and entertainment.
The Royal Windsor is licenced for weddings.

The Royal Windsor is linked to the Great West Way by two train stations – Windsor and Eton Riverside, which is directly opposite, and Windsor & Eton Central, a short walk away. The venue is just a few minutes walk from the expansive Home Park car park as well as the Riverside car park. There is disabled parking opposite.
