On the fourth Tuesday of every month we welcome to the bar Somerset Velvet.
Hailing from Somerset, with a hint of Wiltshire, this five-piece Psychedelic Folk Funk band are reuniting after a brief hiatus.
Ellen Colyer fronts the band weaving hypnotic patterns with her strong, soulful vocals entwining with Sam Pledger's vocal harmonies and his funky rhythm guitar. Joseph Adams and Jamie Fry complete the rhythm section on electric bass and drums to create an unrivalled groove machine with Jasper Sheppard's lead guitar binding them all together.
Specialising in creative, quirky but genuine originals composed by Joseph and Sam, this bands re-emergence into the South West music scene is a long awaited return.
