Born in Scotland, Fraser's need to create songs began as a teenager when he witnessed the tragic death of a young man he met only a few hours before. During a late night conversation with the man, he paused and asked a question that haunts Anderson to this day.
"Have you ever seen a dead body before?" A weird unexplained twist of fate perhaps, and a defining moment that must surely be at least partly responsible for driving the songwriter to search for answers through his work while not be defined by it.
The singer songwriters career has seen him perform on some of the worlds largest stages alongside Joan Armatrading, Pete Doherty, Italian artist Niccolo Fabi, and even the legendary Chuck Berry, who said of Fraser Anderson "This boys pretty damn good" and gave Fraser two thumbs up from the side of the stage when the two first met while performing together in an open air amphitheatre on the Med coast in the south of France.
With five studio albums now under his belt, a live album due out later this year and a prime time Saturday night slot at this year's prestigious Cambridge Folk Festival things are getting exciting.
Catch him live before he blows up.
"Fraser Anderson is one of our favourite singer songwriters of the past decade and more. He is a wonderful live performer, with a beautiful voice and delicate guitar work that sends shivers down your spine. He also has a natural and warm rapport with his audience. He seems to be one of the UK's best kept secrets and deserves a much higher profile, which will surely come." – Ron Dukelow – TLR Shipley
