510 reviewsEnjoy the best of the beautiful British countryside from the comfort of a luxurious canvas lodge on this family-run, organic farm. Meet the ducks, dairy cattle and donkeys. Have fun on Farmer Joes organic farm tour. Walk, ride, paddle, fish – or just soak up the sun and the tranquil scenery. It all adds up to a naturally inspirational experience: a unique break that you – and your family or friends – will treasure for a lifetime.
The Dyke family own Mill Farm – along with neighbouring Belle Vue Farm - both run organically and certified by the Soil Association since 2000: Belle Vue is home to a herd of 100 organic dairy heifers – along with a small gaggle of organic geese, Wiltshire Horn sheep, donkeys, rabbits and guinea pigs. The farm is also a recognised Freedom Food producer – offering an assurance that the wellbeing of its livestock is governed by the UK’s strict welfare standards – ensuring all animals enjoy the best quality of life.
Joe and Izzy Dyke are the third generation of Dykes to tend this very special corner of the British countryside. They passionately believe that organic farming is a more natural choice that is better for the health of their cattle – and of the consumer.
Glamping guests stay in luxurious canvas lodges situated in Mill Farm’s Top and Bottom Water Meadow - a haven of tranquility - and home to the farms’ lovely chickens. Designed to appeal to those who want to unwind and get close to nature, without compromising on style or comfort. The super-chic canvas lodges are fabulously spacious and well furnished, with a generous master bedroom, a twin bedded room and a children’s bunk barn complete with stable doors windows and cosy bunk beds. The attractive living and dining area feature a superb stove with oven, hob and wood burning fire. Its cosy warmth - and the romance of dining by candle or lantern light - all add to the magic of an unforgettable stay. Outside the lodges all have there own covered veranda so guests can enjoy alfresco dining or just take in the view of the beautiful countryside. The well considered facilities include a handy honesty shop, supplying visitors’ essential needs – plus a few special treats.
The Dyke family have been welcoming guests to Mill Farm since 2007, they know exactly what it takes to deliver an exceptionally comfortable, unforgettable stay - making Miil Farm breaks a top choice for families, couples and group holidays.
Mill Farm is situated in the village of Poulshot near Devises and can accommodate up to 18 guests. Facilities and activities on the farm include, laser clay pigeon shooting, bikes for hire, donkey rides, a straw bale arena, BBQ areas and more. Plus a great range of local walks, good country pubs within walking distance or a short drive away and a fabulous roll call of attractions should guests wish to explore further afield these include; Longleat, Caen Hill Locks, Bowood House, Avebury and Stonehenge. The market town of Devizes is just 3 miles away, offering a good selection of shops and cafes - plus one of Britain’s best authentic breweries, where horse drawn drays are still used.

From the London M4: Exit motorway at Junction 14 Hungerford. Follow the signs to Marlborough and then at Marlborough. At Marlborough, follow the signs to Devizes. At Devizes follow A361 to Trowbridge. When leaving Devizes, you will enter a dual carriageway going down a hill – just past the scrap yard on the right, take the next left into Poulshot – slightly beyond the blue bus shelter on your left. In Poulshot, go past the Raven Public house and on past the village green – with the football posts. At the next sharp right hand bend, you’ll find Belle Vue Farm on your left, with a ramped entrance and a slight incline. From Salisbury: From Salisbury follow signs for the A360 to Devizes. Follow the A360 all the way until the turn off for Worton – which is on the left of a T- Junction after the railway bridge with traffic lights – coming out of West Lavington. Follow this road through Worton and keep driving until you reach a sign on the right, marked Poulshot, Devizes and Rowde. Take this turning and follow the road which goes into Poulshot. Keep going along until you see a farm with a ramped entrance and a slight incline, this is Belle Vue Farm. On arrival at Belle Vue Farm, please drive into the main farm entrance and knock on the farmhouse back door. You will find Joe or Izzy here. If not, we will be very close by so please wait in the farmyard for us.
The nearest train stations to Mill Farm are Trowbridge and Westbury, there is a bus from Trowbridge to Poulshot about four times a day, the journey by bus takes just under 30 minutes then the walk from the bus stop to the farm is about 20-30 minutes. It is possible to use public transport but as the farm is in quite a rural location it is recommended to travel by car if possible. The journey time from Westbury station is similar but there is no bus available.
