The Merchant’s House Hotel is a family run hotel offering 37 newly and beautifully refurbished en suite rooms with all the comforts including air conditioning, flat screen TV with free view, free Wi-Fi and tea and coffee making facilities. Amongst our 37 rooms we have 6 superior rooms and 3 feature rooms including The Nelson Room where Nelson himself stayed. All our rooms are sanitised thoroughly, our staff equipped with the most effective cleaning products, each room is air conditioned and with flat screen TV, Freeview, Wi-Fi plus tea and coffee making facilities. Its fabulous location right in the city centre makes it the perfect location for visiting Salisbury one of the most historical and culturally significant towns in the UK.
A must visit is The Merchant’s Bar offering comfortable stylish surroundings with our open fire and wonderful choice of wines, beers and spirits. We also offer a home cooked and continental unlimited breakfast at an additional cost.

The Merchant’s Bar has a fabulously stylish interior incorporating beautiful furniture spaced to allow each guest, family to feel safe and distanced, enjoying the calm and welcoming colours and an environment which creates the perfect ambience for a relaxing drink with friends even the four legged ones! We offer a wide range of local beers and premium spirits or why not try one of our wonderful wines from Yapp Brothers of Mere, who supply many Michelin star restaurants, there is bound to be one you will love. Gordon Ramsey and many more certainly have!
From 5pm daily, The Merchant’s Bar is infused with a relaxed, inviting energy and we look forward to welcoming you soon.
Our freshly cooked unlimited breakfast, or continental choice is the perfect way for our hotel guests to start their day!
We have a wonderful selection of cooked items from sausages, bacon, mushrooms, baked beans and lots more to a selection of cereals, pastries, fresh fruit and other items if you prefer a continental style breakfast.
We serve breakfast for hotel guests everyday, weekdays 7am – 10.30am and weekends 8am – 10.30am
The Merchant’s Bar is dog friendly (Bar only, not Bedrooms) and we also have limited car parking spaces for our hotel guests on a first come first served basis.
