Sulis Guides is a highly regarded guiding company, based in the beautiful city of Bath for over thirty years.

We provide high quality, experienced, multi-lingual Blue Badge guides for tailor-made car, coach and walking tours of the West Country and beyond.

We can help you with every aspect of your tour, including planning your itinerary, so that you make the very most of your stay. We believe this personal touch makes Sulis Guides special.

A breath of fresh air

Our walking tours of historic towns and cities are led by expert local guides who aim to be both informative and entertaining. We promise hidden corners and colourful stories which you won’t find in guidebooks!

We can tailor your walk to suit your particular needs, whether they be historical, architectural, literary or general. We can start at your hotel or any other convenient place for you. Our walking tours usually last about two hours, but we can tailor walks to suit the time you have available - we can even escort you for the whole day!

Sightseeing at your own pace

Private car tours are the ideal way to enjoy sightseeing at your own pace, providing freedom, comfort and flexibility. Our experienced driver guides can take you anywhere throughout the UK, showing you the places you might otherwise miss. We plan the tour exclusively to meet your own specific requirements. You can relax in comfort and enjoy the beautiful countryside whilst we take care of you. You are free to take a detour, have a picnic or stop at a country pub. You get to see more and make the very best use of your time.

Sulis Guides will collect you on arrival in the UK, or give you a guided tour as you travel on to your next destination. We are happy to provide tours for clients with limited mobility, and will prepare a tour that suits specific needs. Chauffeur-driven limousines and mini-buses are also available.

Large group of explorers? No problem

One of the most popular options for coach parties visiting Bath, Bristol or any other West Country destination is for a Sulis Guide to join the coach for an introductory panoramic tour, followed perhaps by a walking tour. This benefits the less mobile, and enables everyone to see places that are hard to reach on foot.

Tours tailored to you and your interests

Many of our clients have special interests they want to pursue – particular types of places, or periods in history etc. We can use our knowledge and expertise to help you research special people, places and times, and plan your own special tour.

Give your delegates an event to remember

We provide independent advice on venues, accommodation and transport. We can help you plan social events for your delegates and partners, and we can arrange suitable coach tours, walking tours or illustrated talks to suit your programme.

We can provide staff to welcome delegates on arrival, and to advise on their independent visits and entertainment.
