About

Commissioned Heritage Experiences in Royal Windsor

Windsor Carriages delivers privately hosted heritage experiences and estate events in Royal Windsor, combining historic continuity with refined modern hospitality.

Each experience is individually commissioned and carefully overseen, beginning with optional chauffeur transfers from London or Oxford and unfolding into licensed Estate Drives along the Long Walk, private guiding at Windsor Castle, curated dining and seasonal estate hospitality.

The team hosts one private party per operational window, preserving exclusivity, operational precision and an unhurried, fully personalised experience within a working royal environment.

As custodians of Windsor’s last licensed working Victorian Hackney carriage tradition, Windsor Carriages offers rare historical continuity and deep local knowledge. Interpretation and storytelling sit at the heart of the experience, weaving together Windsor’s past and present alongside the team’s beautifully presented horses. The carriage itself forms part of a wider, thoughtfully orchestrated day rather than a standalone attraction.

Windsor Carriages specialises in private Windsor day visits from London and curated estate events within the Crown Estate, hosting everything from intimate anniversary celebrations to multi-carriage corporate gatherings for up to 144 guests.

“Without question, the highlight of our entire UK and Europe vacation.”
— Three-generation family celebration, Nevada, November 2026
